ONES PAINTING WITH WORDS
In fact, the term of ‘portrait’ used in the art branches like painting and sculpture can be defined as the name of a literal class describing people’s physical and psychological features. To see independent examples of the portrait genre in Turkish literature is possible, connected with other genres, especially memoire, biography, autobiography, interview. We also find many portrait/auto-portrait in verse in addition to prose. In this study, prose physical portrait in New Turkish Literature is emphasised.
