REMEMBRANCE AND COLLECTIVE MEMORY FUNCTIONS IN ABDULHAK SİNASİ HİSAR’S ROMANS
Abdulhak Sinasi presents scenes from social and culturel lives at 1900’s in his romans published after 1940’s. His works depending on childhood souvenirs caused that he was usually perceived like a past conveyor. That plot was fictioned on explaining past brings about indecision to critics in terms of the fact that whether these works are on moment or roman. But to look at his works in the frame of remembrance and memory theories will provide to be obtained better informations about what he wants to do indeed. In this study, Hisar’s romans have been searched in the frame of some improved theories on time, remembrance and memory from Grek philosophy to Bergson. Especially Hisar’s approachment to the concept “Time” shows that he is not a past conveyor only.
